So what does a Project Manager Do? This role can be found in many different industries to include construction, IT, services, new products, etc. The role of the Project Manager is essentially to lead the project and be responsible for meeting the project objectives within the constraints of cost, schedule and scope (Triple Constraint). Specifically they will:

1. Gain approval for initiation of the project through a Project Charter

2. Managing the Project Team

3. Scoping the project

4. Reporting Progress to various stakeholders

5. Scope breakdown, resource planning and scheduling.

6. Managing and Maintaining the schedule

7. Costing and Budget Preparation

8. QA/QC Plan and Execution

9. Risk Management

10. Safety

11. Communications

RE: What Does a Project Manager Do?
Project managers are the people in the team who play the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects.
They are considered and held accountable for the entire project scope, project team, resources, and the success or failure of the project.A project manager, with the help of their team, is in charge of multiple responsibilities and duties that span the five project phases of a project life cycle (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing).
