As you enter the Accounting Profession you enter an organization of checks and balances, but that is not all. Accounting also provides services to the sales organization, operations, purchasing and all levels of management. The accounting organization is typically comprised of operational results tabulation and reporting, as well as credit, accounts receivable and accounts payable groups. In addition, the accounting group controls the systems the company uses to categorize/allocate money.
