What is a realistic success horizon for Leaders?

I just published a training article this week on Strategic Leadership.  It focuses on achieving results, not just planning for them.  This distinction defines highly strategic leaders.  But what timeline is acceptable to achieve results?

There are studies that say 3 years is a realistic period to implement change.  Do you agree?  Would that be realistic for your business?

If you were hiring a GM for your organization, wouldn’t you expect change to happen faster than three years?

I would love your feedback.
