Business Development Community

Business Development is the act of leading a company’s growth into new markets, new partnerships and new business activities that take place outside the realm of current day-to-day business. Typically a Business Development professional works on their own, with outside consultants, or within a small team to research and vet business opportunities, roadblocks and investments. Typical job activities include business planning, identifying start-up requirements, financial modeling, gathering market intelligence and interpretation of that data. All are necessary to sell ideas internally and get the company to make strategic changes for growth. This job profile is a combination between General Management, Finance, Marketing and Sales and can migrate into many future business leadership roles.
